I loved this place. Quaint and serene, located close to a very scenic riverside, Rembrandt Hoeve is a lovely way to spend a relaxed morning or afternoon. The cheese-making and clog-making demos are informative and entertaining. I enjoyed sampling the various varieties of cheese, including the ‘pure veg’ ones minus the rennet. Especially loved the smokey gouda with bacon (brought back a LOT of cheese and some very pretty wooden cheese boards with pastoral pictures on blue-and-white tiles). Best of all is the 15th century building, sunshiney courtyard and a barn filled with cows and a stern-looking but sweet dog. Don’t miss this one!
